Inspired by the open road
Acadian Vans founder Rob Landry has led quite an adventure of his own. Rob hiked the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine when the global pandemic struck in 2020. He took the lessons learned from that experience – self-reliance, problem-solving, and ingenuity – and converted a Mercedes Sprinter van at a local makerspace.
When his first van conversion was completed, Rob spent a year exploring all of North America, taking in incredible vistas from Banff, Canada to Baja California to more than 30 American national parks and many other places of inspiring natural beauty across the continent. He met many wonderfully diverse people with varying perspectives. He came to understand that the ability to travel has the power to kindle a sense of awe, reverence and respect for this jewel of a planet we call home.
Now, with Acadian Vans, Rob aims to create adventure vehicles for others to help them experience that same spirit of adventure and wonder as they take their own excursions on the open road.
